For Maternity Care Providers

We would like to invite you to participate in our CIHR funded, SOGC endorsed study “A Trial of Labour or Repeat Cesarean Section? A Mixed Methods Study Examining Women’s Preferences and Providers’ Counsel: Phase II The Factors Maternity Care Providers Consider”.

Invitation to Participate in Research: You are being invited to participate in a research study exploring the factors maternity care providers consider when counselling women, with a previous Cesarean section and eligible for a trial of labour, on their preferred method of delivery for the next pregnancy.

The goal is to understand the factors Canadian Obstetricians, Family Physicians, Midwives and Nurse Practitioners consider when counselling women with a previous Cesarean section, about mode of delivery for the next pregnancy.

There are no known risks associated with this study. Your participation in the study is completely voluntary and you may choose to end your participation at any time with no consequence whatsoever. Should you choose not to volunteer to participate in the study, your decision will not influence any relationships you may have with the researchers or study staff, or York University or McMaster University either now, or in the future.

This survey will only take 10-15 minutes to complete! You will receive a complementary $10 Indigo/Chapters gift card as a small token of our appreciation for completing the study.

We hope you will participate in this important study!

For more information about the study, please contact our research coordinator, Kadeen Briscoe, at the following email, birthing@yorku.ca.
